Why are some of our fragrance oils or products marked as “Not Disclosed” or “Proprietary”?Updated 3 hours ago
At The Flaming Candle, we’re all about helping our makers create with confidence — but some parts of our fragrance formulas are considered proprietary. That means the exact details are part of what makes our blends unique and can’t be fully shared publicly.
Think of it like a secret recipe — you know the main ingredients, but not Grandma’s special twist.
When you see “Not Disclosed” or “Proprietary” on a fragrance oil or product, it typically means:
The formula includes trade-protected fragrance components that legally can’t be published.
The supplier has chosen to protect specific blend ratios or ingredients that make the scent perform the way it does (like its incredible hot throw or stability).
All safety and regulatory information — including IFRA compliance and SDS documentation — is still fully tested and verified.
So while we may not be able to list every single detail, you can rest assured that our fragrances meet the highest quality and safety standards. We’re passionate about giving you scents that inspire your creativity and perform beautifully in every pour.
